The migration to the new server has progressed smoothly, and all flocknote services are back online and working great! Thanks for your patience.

flocknote will be down for an hour or two this evening (Friday, March 9), as we migrate our database to a newer, more robust server. Please be patient, and check back here for further updates.

We anticipate no more than 1-2 hours of downtime as we transition to the new server.

flockNote is back online after about 45 minutes of downtime. Our service provider has fixed the problem that was blocking our server’s access to the Internet.

It seems that a problem with our service provider has caused flockNote.com and all flockNote services to be offline since about 1:05 p.m. CST. We’ll update this post with more information as it becomes available.

flockNote will be down for a few short moments as we apply an update to make subscriptions work a little better. We expect no more than 5-10 minutes of downtime.

After about a half hour, the hosting company was able to restore our server without any data loss (we have backups, too, just in case!). Thanks for your patience today!

[Update 2: The site’s working normally again.]

[Update: Apparently, the server’s hard drive had some trouble. The hosting company is working on getting it fixed right now.]

As of 4:00 p.m. CST (Nov. 3), the flockNote server is offline for unknown reasons. We are working hard to find out why the server (and our mail and text messaging services) are offline.

So far we haven’t been able to reach our hosting provider for answers. Please stay tuned for updates!

After a few hours testing (while the site has been running fine), we have completed the maintenance that took a little longer than we originally planned. All member profiles and list functionality should be working normally. Please contact flockNote support if you find any problems. Thanks!

[Update 2: The website is operating normally again.]

flockNote and its delivery services will be offline for 1-3 hours starting at midnight, November 3, 2011, and ending in the early morning hours.

We are updating our network member profile system to allow easier adding of individual members to multiple networks, and to optimize data storage and retrieval for list subscribers.

This time for maintenance was chosen because it is a time period when site activity is at its lowest.

Services will resume early in the morning (hopefully before 3 a.m. CST), and we will update this status page with any new information.

After about 1:30 of downtime, flockNote is back up and operating normally. Emails have been sending sporadically for the past hour, so we’ll be monitoring that situation, but all emails and text messages should be sending in a timely fashion again.
